Monyash Primary School event raises thousands for much-needed equipment

With a tearoom, tombola, bouncy castle and Bake Off-style produce show, the children, teachers and parents of the school drew crowds from far and wide to their annual fundraiser

Headteacher Sharon Slack said: “This is a fantastic total and testament to the hard work put in by everybody in the school.

“The children worked so hard to make the day a success and the parents and teachers who helped organise the day did an excellent job.

“The money raised will go a long way towards paying for vital learning resources and other projects in the future.”

The event was organised by the Monyash Parents, Teachers and Friends Association, which collected prizes and sold raffle tickets in the run-up to the day.

The school was recently rated as ‘good’ by inspectors from the Church of England.

They recognised the excellent relationship between the school, church and community.

Monyash Primary School currently has 29 pupils and is looking to increase its intake in September.
