A POLICE campaign aimed at encouraging High Peak licensees to not sell alcohol to drunken patrons is heading online for a virtual surgery.
The drive, called Intoxicated, is aimed at cutting alcohol-related crime by urging pub, club and bar staff to be more vigilant when it comes to serving customers.
The campaign wants to raise awareness of the law around the sale of alcohol to drunks.
The free online surgery will offer information on the campaign and encourage licencees to train staff on how to pick up on the early stages of intoxication and offer soft drinks and free water to people who have had too much.
High Peak licencees can get involved with the surgery by logging on to www.derbyshire.police.uk between 2pm and 4pm on Tuesday, January 22. All you have to do is visit the Derbyshire police website’s Intoxicated pages and submit your questions to the licensing team.
