Three teenagers to appear in court over Riddings cat death

Three teenagers, aged 15, 16 and 17, have been interviewed by police over the death of a cat in Riddings and have been issued a summons to attend court.

On Thursday, August 11, police received reports that a cat had been found dead in Riddings Park.

Following the incident a number of threats have been made towards the teenagers and their families.

Officers investigating the case would like to remind the public that further threats or action against the youths or identifying them on Facebook is illegal. It may also be detrimental to the investigation and may hinder bringing the suspects to justice.

It is important that people remember that they themselves could be reported to police if criminal damage is caused or explicit threats/malicious messages are made.
