Swashbuckling fun was had by all at a family fun day.
Carsington Sailability hosted a free pirate family fun day on Saturday at Carsington Water.
The day featured an on–the-water treasure hunt and best pirate fancy dress contest.
The event was held to raise funds for Carsington Sailability, which provides opportunities for local disabled people to go sailing and sail regularly, as part of the Royal Yatching Association’s (RYA) national Sailability programme.
Part of Carsington Sailing Club, Carsington Sailability is a fully–inclusive group, with both disabled and able–bodied members, whose main objective is to bring the sport of sailing to others. Sailability has excellent facilities and equipment and has a well maintained fleet of sailing boats, specifically designed for those with limited mobility.
