A LORRY became wedged in a Matlock road after following directions from a satellite navigation system.
The 42ft articulated lorry got stuck on Lumsdale Road on Wednesday for around three hours.
Resident Julie Rayworth was woken by a commotion outside her window at around 6.30am.
She said: “The dog was barking at the lorry.
“I looked out of the window and saw the lorry was jack-knifed.”
Mrs Rayworth said she more road signs were needed to ensure other lorries following their Sat Navs did not become stuck.
She added: “It’s happened a few times before. It should be signed better as Sat Navs take them down little, windy roads.”
The lorry was eventually moved by an articulated recovery lorry at 9.30am.
