Lucky reader wins Fairtrade hamper

A lucky Mercury reader is tucking into some tasty Fairtrade treats courtesy of Sainsbury’s, Matlock, after winning a competition.

Marion McCormick, of Derby Road, Matlock, won the Mercury’s Fairtrade competition by correctly answering the name of the famous banana which originates from Chatsworth Estate was the ‘Cavendish banana’.

She was presented with the prize by manager Matt Bingham and store trainer Phil Greaves.
