Man cut out of car after crashing into wall in Darley Dale

A man has been hospitalised after the car he was driving hit a wall in Darley Dale.

Fire crews from Matlock and Chesterfield were called out today, Wednesday, August 17 at 12.23pm to cut a man out of a Vauxhall Astra.

The incident happened on Old Road.

Once safely out of the car he was placed in the care of East Midlands Ambulance Service.

A spokesman for Derbyshire Police said: “The driver has been taken to Chesterfield Royal Hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.”
