Masked raiders forced their way into a man’s home before assaulting him in a late night attack.

The victim, a 36–year–old man, was at his home in George Street, Brimington, at 11pm last night (Sunday, September 21), when the door bell rang.

Before he could get to it, the gang of four men kicked the front door in and attacked the man, punching him several times and demanding money.

They searched the house, however when they didn’t find any money they took a Toshiba laptop and ran away.

The man went to Chesterfield Royal Hospital for a check up and was released shortly afterwards without any serious injuries.

The men were all described as being white, three were wearing scarves over their faces and one was wearing a balaclava.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to call them on 101.
