Matlock residents help fund vital medical equipment

Matlock residents are to be thanked for helping raise over £12,000 for vital medical equipment.

On Wednesday, September 18, the Derbyshire branch of the British Red Cross will host the celebration in their Matlock Green headquarters.

Alex Gadsby, community fundraiser for the British Red Cross, said: “Thanks entirely to the generosity of local people, groups and companies, the appeal has not only raised enough to fund three new defibrillators but also to cover the maintenance costs for the local community first responder team for a further three years.”

The celebration will take place between 1pm and 3pm.
