Motorbike rider in serious condition after Derbyshire collision

A motorbike rider remains in a serious condition in hospital after a collision on a Derbyshire road.

The male rider, who is in his 40s, was in collision with a Ford Fiesta at around 11.15am yesterday, Wednesday, August 10, on the A632.

It happened between the junctions of Ashover Road in Kelstedge and Holestone Gate Road at Slack.

He was taken to QMC in Nottingham where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

The driver of the Ford Fiesta is not thought to have been injured.

The road was closed for several hours as police investigated the accident.
