Motorists told to prevent vehicle thefts

Police are advising motorists to take steps to avoid crimne this summer.

The force is advising people not to leave high value goods in their vehicles when they are left unattended.

Two unattended vehicles were targetted at approximately 4pm on Saturday, July 21, in the lower car park of Black Rocks, Cromford.

A ladies handbag and contents were stolen from the footwell of one after the front passenger window was smashed.

Two windows were smashed on the other vehicle but it is thought that the car alarm activating caused offenders to flee this car and the scene empty handed.
