A NEW club has been launched in Matlock that aims to give mothers of multiple babies the support they need.

Matlock Multiples aims to offer friendly support, advice and reassurance to multiple birth families across the Dales.

The club has been launched by mums Charlotte, Kate and Beth – who met at a local playgroup.

Beth said: “We realised that there were quite a few multiple birth families in and around Matlock and that they would benefit from having a friendly, understanding ear to listen to and support them.

“There are aspects of raising multiples that only other parents can understand, such as struggling on the bus with a double buggy, not being able to shop at your favourite high street shop because the lift isn’t big enough to cater for two babies and a mummy plus double sized changing bag.”

The group will provide regular newsletters to members, arrange social events such as Christmas parties for parents and children, and will provide a perfect place to meet other parents.
