Walkers can step out in summer with a programme of new health walks.

Derbyshire Dales District Council’s new Walking for Health Guide which runs until June features another new walking group for the Dales.

The Guide, which can be viewed and downloaded on the district council’s website at derbyshiredales.gov.uk, lays out the plans for a season of free walks.

There’s a walk every weekday starting from Bakewell, Matlock, Wirksworth or Ashbourne and the latest walking group meets at 11am on Mondays at the Hurst Farm Community Centre in Matlock’s Hazel Grove for a 30–60 minute walk.

For more information contact the district council’s walking for health officer Howard Griffith on 01629 761 225 or email howard.griffith@derbyshiredales.gov.uk
