Open garden day was great

Matlock in Bloom Open Garden Day at All Saints Junior School was a great success.

The pupils escorted the visitors and described the flower and vegetable gardens, the wildlife and quiet areas, the orchard and fruit plots, and so much else.

Visitors were amazed at the knowledge of the pupils and were full of praise for their efforts, and for those of the headmistress, staff and parents.

Refreshments, plant and cake stalls etc, in the school hall afterwards raised a total of £403, £100 of which was given to the school.

Thank you to all who supported us, tell your friends about it, as we may hold another next year.

Finally, many thanks to the pupils of the gardening club, keep up the good work!
