Staffordshire’s Lee Pearson spend the day leading dressage workshops with 10 junior and senior pupils at Chapel and District Riding Club, at Owlgreave Farm.

Training officer Angela Santos-Rosa, who arranged the day, said: “He was absolutely brilliant, he was so lovely with everybody. He even brought his medals so the children could try them on.”

The special visit formed part of a series, funded by inheritance left to the club by the late dressage secretary Marjorie Baker, who passed away last year.

Showjumper Joe Whittaker will be leading a day of lessons with members on September 2.
