Ten unique and original works of art, all by local artists, are up for auction in Sheffield’s Winter Garden – with all proceeds going ro the Red Cross.

Caroline Appleyard said: “I think that the Red Cross do invaluable work around the world and I am happy to try and help raise money for them.”

She describes the painting she has donated to the British Red Cross as “bright, naive and a bit mad, ending up in quirky and happy re-imaginations of Derbyshire scenes.”

The auction will also include a painting of Stanage Edge by Kristian Baggaley.

The event will take place in the Winter Garden this week until June 4.
