More than 600 fundraisers laced up their walking boots a winter walk to battle coronary heart disease.

The British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) 20th High Peak Winter Hike started at Sparklow and finished in Cromford Meadows.

The 17.5–mile linear route passed through Parsley Hay and Middleton Top.

BHF event organiser Helen Wright said: “I would like to thank everyone who took part, everyone who supported our hikers and all of our volunteers - in particular the Clay Cross Cadets. Coronary heart disease is not beaten yet – it remains the single biggest killer in the UK and it’s because of your support, that we are able to continue our fight to find a cure.”

The BHF hopes to raise £66,000 from the hike.
