Pensioner dies after bus smash
A man who was hit by a bus in Hasland has died from his injuries.
Police revealed today that George Cantrill, 81, of Chesterfield, died on December 23.
The pensioner was taken to hospital by air ambulance following the smash on Churchside, Hasland, at about 10.50am on Friday, December 13.

Hide AdHe was waiting at the bus stop outside the village cemetery when the crash happened.
Police said the man suffered serious spinal and head injuries.
The bus was the number 54 Clay Cross to Chesterfield Stagecoach service.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Derbyshire police on 101.
Investigations are continuing.
