Rotary club’s petition seeks support for new skatepark in Dronfield
Posting on Facebook, the club said it is currently working on plans to submit to Dronfield Town Council for the construction of a new skatepark.
As part of this, rotarians are seeking support to help prove that there is a “genuine local need” for this type of sports facility in the town.

Hide AdLaunching the petition on Saturday Liz Hepworth, secretary of the Rotary Club of Dronfield, said: “The new skatepark will be a free to use, safe, inclusive and family orientated sports facility for users of all ages. Professionally designed and constructed by a company with expert knowledge and with input from local interested people.
“Skateparks are proven to increase health, wellbeing, community cohesion whilst reducing social exclusion and anti-social behaviour. The skatepark will not only benefit skatepark users, it will enhance the town and will be an asset to the whole community.
“Rotary in Dronfield look forward to working with Dronfield Town Council and our community to make this multi use/age skate park a reality.”
Businesses in Dronfield are also encouraged to write a letter of support for the proposed skatepark.
