The ceremony was performed by Camille Ramshaw, chairman of Tupton Parish Council, and Cathy Goodyer, vice-chairman of the council, and Tony Waters, chairman of North Wingfield branch of the Royal British Legion, and the branch secretary Trevor Higginson.
Monday’s wreath-laying was preceded by a two-minute silence in the community garden which was near where the bombs fell on houses in 1941.

Hide AdDistrict councillor David Hancock said: “Because of Covid, it was a very low-key ceremony.”
A bench was unveiled in the community garden on Friday, paid for by the parish council and a donation from Malcolm Muldoon whose father was involved in the rescue operation after the bombing.
Coun Hancock says there are plans for a plaque listing the names of the victims to be installed near the site ahead of Remembrance Day.
