A TELEPHONE scheme is going live in the Crich area to help give isolated members of the community stay in touch.

Crich Careline is a voluntary group whose purpose is to keep in regular contact, with people that may have difficulty leaving their home without help or are in any danger of becoming isolated in any way.

The service covers Crich, Whatstandwell, Fritchley, Bullbridge, South Wingfield and Holloway and is free.

The free scheme is using locally-raised funds including £1,00 that was donated by Derbyshire County Council at the Glebe Field Centre in Crich.

For details, contact Careline co-ordinators on 07939 572408 or through Crich Vicarage on 01773 852449.
