Photographers have one day left

BUDDING snappers have until tomorrow to get their entries in for the Photographer of the Year competition.

So far we have had some stunning entries from people across the Dales and the Mercury – along with Matlock Town Council – are going to have a tough job choosing a winner.

However, we are hoping that local talent will make our decision even trickier by heading out before the deadline and getting some more top-class photographs.

There are two categories – one for under 16 year olds and one for those aged 16 and above. A winner from each of the categories will be picked and receive a coveted Matlock Photographer of the Year trophy.

The pictures will also be displayed on the Matlock Town Council’s website.

Submitted photographs must have been taken within the Matlock town boundary and both the council and the Mercury reserve the right to publish all photographs submitted.

Entries must include the photographer’s name, age, address and telephone number and should be emailed to news@matlockmercury.co.uk or sent to Matlock Mercury, 37 Station Road, Chesterfield, S41 7XD.
