Children and adults alike headed for a day of treats and sweets in celebration of a new shop opening.
The Treat Place, which officially opened it’s doors on January 14, offered those in attendance a range of entertainment including live bands, artists, handmade toys, crafts stalls, and of course, plenty of delicious free samples to taste.
Pastor Chris Hand officially marked the opening of the Crich-based shop by cutting the ribbon and Uncle Michael made an appearance shortly afterwards.
Rona Allen, proprietor of the new shop, said on the reasons for opening: “I really wanted to open somewhere that would serve both residents and tourists with an assortment of treats that aren’t always easy to find locally.”
Offering a range of goodies including chocolates, flowers, traditional sweets, fudge, toffee, cards, coffee and much more, there’s certainly plenty at The Treat Place for everybody to enjoy.
However, Rona also commented that she is keen to hear ideas about what else the shop could be used for.
She said: “There’s a lot of space for different activities and we’re very keen to hear what locals want us to stock.”
