Rescuers with search dogs were called to a Peak District quarry to search for a missing man.
Twenty-two members of Buxton and Edale Mountain Rescue Teams were called to Horseshoe Quarry, in Stoney Middleton, on Thursday, June 23 at around 5am.
A man from the Northampton area had been reported missing.
Derbyshire Police located his vehicle in the entrance to the quarry.
Rescuers searched the quarry and the steep wooded surrounds and due to the number of caves and mines in the area the Derbyshire Cave Rescue Organisation were also called to undertake searches underground.
The missing man was located on steep ground by a search dog and his handler. He was taken to the Chesterfield Royal Hospital for a check-up.
