Officers took to the road to put the brakes on speeding motorists.
Police carried out checks at a number of locations across Matlock in response to reports from residents of speeding vehicles.
The speed checks were carried out using laser speed guns that accurately record the speeds of passing motorists.
During a two–hour period on the day of action, officers identified 33 motorists that were driving at more than 36mph in a 30mph zone on Chesterfield Road.
Police spoke to the offenders and warned them of their speeding and the importance of safe and considerate driving to keep roads safe for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.
