A THEATRE company is celebrating after picking up a prestigious award.
Tangere Arts, based in Tansley, walked away with the accolade for best production for young people at the Off West End Awards.
Know as the ‘Offies’, the celebrate the theatre productions that exist away from the bright lights of the West End.
Tangere Arts landed the gong for their co-production of Noel Greig’s Tin Soldier, with London’s Unicorn Theatre.
David Johnston, Tangere’s director and producer, said: “It is a great tribute to the company that we have managed to achieve this national award.
“We hope that the award will bring us further regional and national recognition, in order that we can produce more work.”
