A TOUCH of Tudor royalty came to a school to help bring history alive for pupils.
Children at Matlock Bath Holy Trinity Primary School rolled out the red carpet to welcome Henry VIII and Catherine Parr, played by actors John and Josie Grant.
They were there to help with the pupils’ history projects and spoke about life at court, their clothes, children and hobbies.
Paid for by funds raised by the school PTFA, headteacher Amanda Mee said: “Everyone at the school really enjoyed this unusual visit.
“It’s not often you get to meet a famous king and queen and they certainly gave the children a fantastic insight into Tudor life.”
