STAFF and pupils at Bakewell Nursery School are celebrating success after notching up top marks in every area in their recent Ofsted inspection.

Jean Teale, who is head of the nursery, said: “We are absolutely delighted! To have received the highest possible grading of ‘outstanding’ in every category is a truly wonderful achievement!

“I am very lucky to have such an enthusiastic and dedicated team.

“This top-level praise is thanks to all the hard work of everyone involved at Bakewell Nursery School.”

Ofsted found the nursery, which is open to youngsters from ages three moths up to five years, promotes a child-orientated environment where they can reach their full potential and blossom at the nursery, adding “children make consistently excellent progress towards the early learning goal”.

The staff were also praised for their exemplary levels of supervision and individual attention, and said that the “children’s emotional needs are met exceptionally well” and ensures they make “outstanding progress”.
