Tragic discovery of deceased man in Chesterfield

The ambulance service was called out to the path, off Chatsworth Road, Brampton, in the early hours of Sunday, August 3.

A Derbyshire Constabulary spokesman said: “Police were alerted by the ambulance service after a member of the public called for an ambulance after this man had collapsed.”

Police confirmed that the path is near The Tramway public house.

Derbyshire Constabulary explained the matter is not being treated as suspicious and the police force is preparing a file for the coroner prior to an inquest to help establish the exact circumstances surrounding the death.

Witnesses or anyone with information who may be able help establish the circumstances surrounding the man’s death are urged to call police on 101.
