Trouble flared at a charity music event in Matlock Bath this week and police had to be called.

Police say that up to 200 people had spilled out onto the street outside the Fishpond on South Parade on Thursday evening.

Officers were able to quell the problem, although two people had to be taken to Whitworth’s accident and emergency department with minor cuts and bruises, and were later discharged.

Five bands were meant to take to the stage at the venue to raise money for Fairplay Children’s Charity, which supports young people with disabilities across Derbyshire.
