Police stopped the vehicle, a Vauxhall Corsa, on Nottingham Road at around 10.30pm on Friday, March 23.

A small amount of what is believed to be heroin and a knife was found after the pair and the vehicle were searched.

The 30 year old woman from Cromford and the 29-year-old man from Matlock were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class A drug.

They were questioned at Buxton police station and were both later bailed pending further enquiries.
