Many people in the Dales fell silent today to mark Remembrance Day.
Veterans and members of the public gathered at war memorials across the county shortly before 11am to take part in a two-minute silence.
The time signifies when the guns fell silent bringing an end to the First World War, at 11am on November 11, 1918.
Our pictures are of the service held in Matlock’s Hall Leys Park. Further parades and services are to be held at churches and memorials on Sunday.
