Volunteers are needed

Nature lovers are being sought out to help preserve the beauty of the Dales for future generations.

Natural England is looking for volunteers to support its work in the Derbyshire Dales National Nature Reserve.

The team wants local people to become ‘reserve ambassadors’ – keeping an eye on the reserve and its wildlife, engaging with visitors and occasionally working as a group to undertake practical tasks or run events.

Kevin Bull, senior reserve manager, will give a free short presentation about the Lathkill Dale and Long Dale areas of the reserve on Thursday, September 13, at Youlgreave Village Hall, between 7pm and 9pm.
