Vowing to maintain older people’s dignity
Council chiefs will strive to maintain the dignity of older people living in the Dales.
Derbyshire County Council has signed up to the National Pensioners Convention Dignity Code, which works to promote the welfare and interests of pensioners, both now and in the future, and ensure they are treated with dignity and respect.
The code calls for respect for individuals to make up their own minds, respect for a person’s habits, values and comfort, and consideration and inclusion in all aspects of care.
