Teams of rescuers came to the aid of an injured hill walker on Sunday.
Ten members of the Buxton Mountain Rescue Team joined the East Midlands Ambulance Service at Monsal Head to help a woman from Nottinghamshire who had injured her leg.
Ambulance service paramedics were first on scene and treated the casualty, including splinting and pain relief.
Following the initial treatment the casualty was packaged, placed onto a mountain rescue stretcher and carried by team members and police officers back up the steep winding path to Monsal Head and the waiting land ambulance.
She was then transferred to the Chesterfield Royal Hospital for further treatment.
