Crich Tramway Village will be stepping back to the 1940s with a World War Two Home Front Event.
Visitors to the event from August 3 to 9 can expect air-raid warnings and the sound of low flying aircraft. Historic wartime road and military vehicles will be on show and a Spitfire will be on display outside the Assembly rooms. Vintage trams will also provide rides. The event includes the Ashby Little Big Band and displays.
To commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain, there will be an RAF fighter command sector control room demo in the Learning Centre. For details and tickets call 01773 854321/854392 or visit www.tramway.co.uk.
