Why are they not stopped?

I am writing regarding vehicles – including heavy goods, trucks, cars and vans – parked on the pavement, across the pavement, on the double yellow lines and within the area designated for safety reasons on the junction at the top of Rutland Street and Wellington Street.

This is a busy junction and requires extra care at all times. The indiscriminate parking does not help. Because of other vehicles passing the parked vehicles I have had to take avoiding action driving on the wrong side of the road on numerous occasions. The Traffic Authority Officers (Traffic Wardens?) have been seen to ignore this.

May I also comment upon the state of the pavement in that area, as it is covered in oil which has probably dripped from these vehicles and wears holes in the Tarmac and makes it slippery in the wet, therefore dangerous for pedestrians.
