Two celebrity chefs will tickle the taste buds of visitors with cookery demonstrations at Derbyshire’s premier culinary celebration.

The annual Derbyshire Food and Drink Fair takes place on Saturday and Sunday, 18 and 19 May, at Elvaston Castle for the first time.

Cook, author and broadcaster Valentine Warner will share his cooking skills on the Saturday, with TV chef Rosemary Shrager taking over in the kitchen on the Sunday.

To mark the occasion, we’ve joined forces with Derbyshire County Council to stage a competition offering two pairs of tickets worth £10 each for Saturday’s fair.

Event organiser Stephanie Walsh said: “The fair really helps the county’s economy by providing an opportunity for food and drink businesses to raise their profile.

“The grounds of Elvaston Castle will provide a superb setting for this year’s event and it promises to be a fantastic day for the whole family.”

Highlights of the extravaganza will include Valentine and Rosemary whetting appetites in the cookery theatre.

The weekend’s menu will also feature a high quality arts and crafts section with around 50 local artists showcasing wares.
