Woman killed in road crash named

A woman who was killed in a two-vehicle road accident near Bakewell has been named.

Ann Warin, 75, of Bakewell, died after the accident on the A6 at Topley Head, at 11am on Thursday March 31, when a black Volvo estate collided with a green Suzuki hatchback.

Mrs Warin, who was in the front seat in the Suzuki died of her injuries and her husband, who was driving, was airlifted to hospital in Stoke with serious injuries.

The front seat passenger in the Volvo was taken to hospital in Manchester suffering from internal injuries.

Derbyshire police have begun an investigation into the circumstances of the collision and would like to speak to any witnesses.
