Forty Bridges viaduct

Forty Bridges, a viaduct which carried the Derby-Nottingham GNR line near Awsworth is the subject of this week's Memory Lane.
The structure, 60ft high and 1760 ft long, took a year to build and was completed in 1876.

The archway was demolished in 1973 to make way for the Eastwood-Kimberley bypass.
