Pupils at a Matlock school have been working together to tackle bullying and attendence issues.
Young people from Highfields School in Matlock took part in the National Peer Mentoring Pilot to meet like minded students from across the county, compare notes and swap ideas about what they have been doing in school.

Issues such as behaviour, attainment, bullying and attendance were discussed in workshops at Sheffield’s MegaCentre.

The day was organised by Regional Mentoring Co-ordinator Sue Mackintosh. Sue said: “There is so much enthusiasm amongst the young people involved in the pilot, we felt it was important to harness that fervour and offer them a forum in which they can get together to broaden their knowledge about the potential of Peer Mentoring.”
