IT WAS a runaway success for Bakewell youngsters when they competed against pupils from across the Dales in an inter-school cross country competition.
Pupils from various schools in the district joined to participate in the event, which was held at Lady Manners School.

Bakewell Infant School children successfully completed the 800m run with flying colours.

And they won praise from staff and parents for their efforts.

The school’s head teacher Tricia Outram said: “The children’s enthusiasm was fantastic and everyone had a very enjoyable afternoon.”
