Pupils have planted a wild flower meadow as part of a school regeneration project.
The grounds at Bakewell Methodist Junior School are being transformed to provide a stimulating place to play and learn.

Wildlife habitants have been created and features including a pond and observation hut are planned.

A spokesman said the meadow would need minimal maintenance and was ideal for the busy school to look after.

The planning and design has been carried out by Jonathan Gaunt and Caryl Isaac, who both have children at the school.

The main parts of the plan will hopefully be completed by 2010.
