DALE Crowder put on something of a one-man show as he struck 87 for Ashover firsts in their visit to Mansfield Nomads in the Mansfield and District Sunday League.
Kevin Tann’s 17 was the next highest Ashover score in a total of 166 all out.

Ryan Illingworth then took 3-30, but the Mansfield side, who visit Milken Lane this weekend, won the Section One contest by two wickets.

There was better news all round in Section Six for Ashover seconds, who restricted Shireoaks to 115-8 at the end of their 40 overs, Merrick Bull claiming 3-29.

Will Smith then scored 31 and Cory Dennis 25 to get the Ashover reply off to a solid start.

Wayne Carline added an unbeaten 24 as he and Roger Bolstridge (14 not out) ensured a three-wicket victory.
