Matlock well-beaten by leaders Dynamo

TEAMS finally got to play with Melbourne Dynamo taking full advantage of the fact that some of their main rivals did not by beating Matlock Town Reserves 4-1 to move seven points clear of Allenton Untied at the top of the Premier Division.

Carl Allsopp, Dave Brough, Lee Scott and Tom Donachie scored the Melbourne goals.

Chellaston’s Nick Hough scored on his debut for them as they beat Holbrook St Michaels 3-0. Nat Sunil and Robert Mayer scored the other Chellaston goals.

Widdowson and Ballard were both on target for Castle Donington Town as they beat Borrowash Vics Reserves 2-1.

James Peck gave Willington the lead from the penalty spot before Belper Town Reserves came back to win 2-1 in the South section of the Derbyshire FA Divisional Cup.

In the North section Cromford lost 2-1 to Dove Holes.

Swanwick Pentrich Road joined Selston at the top of Division One by beating Mickleover RBL 5-0.

Richard Jeffries returned to the club to score a hat-trick with Jay Harrison and Matt Phillips adding the other Swanwick goals.

Heanor Colliers remain in contention after beating Bargate Rovers 4-0. Lee Cooper scored the most spectacular goal of the game with a 25-yard special while Bowler, Scarle and Charity added the other goals.

Gilbert and Broughton both scored twice for Derbyshire Amateurs as they beat Little Eaton 4-1 while Richard Todd scored twice for Findern as they drew 2-2 with Derby Rolls Royce Leisure Reserves.

Sam Norris was another two-goal scorer but his team, Holbrook St Michaels Reserves lost 3-2 to Cotes Park.

Pastures also lost 3-2 at home, to Ripley Town with Taylor and Corcoran netting for Pastures.

The Division Two leaders, Derby Royals kept hold of the top spot by beating Swanwick Pentrich Road Reserves 4-0, with goals from Andy Bacon, Daniel Berisford, Adam Clarke and Jake Pritchard.

Belper United Reserves kept pace though by defeating another of the title contenders 1-0. Andy Calladine scored the only goal of the game.

Another title chaser, Wirksworth Ivanhoe, lost ground when they could only draw 1-1 with bottom team Bargate Rovers Reserves. Shaun Kinder scored the Bargate goal with Worth replying for Ivanhoe.

Rowsley ‘86 Reserves moved themselves back into the mix by beating Melbourne Dynamo Reserves 5-1. Both Matt Dennis and Dave Goodall hit braces for Rowsley with Tim Baker making it a nap hand.

Stockley (2), Sayles and Chadwick scored for Mickleover RBL in their 4-2 win over Pastures Reserves.

David Eastern scored for Sandiacre Town Reserves as they drew 1-1 with Castle Donington Town Reserves.

Shirland Athletic beat Woolley Moor United 4-2 on penalties after 120 minutes had ended 1-1. Matt Smith scored the Woolley Moor goal.
