PREMIERSHIP Blackburn Rovers will provide the opposition for Matlock Town skipper James Lukic's testimonial game this summer.
Rovers, still pursuing a possible UEFA Cup place, will line up at the Geoquip Stadium on July 23.

Before then, however, Lukic, who made his Town debut as a 16-year-old, will host a golf day at Matlock Golf Club on Thursday June 5, and individuals and teams are invited to play in a four-ball stableford competition to raise funds for the testimonial fund.

Matlock Town supporters' club committee member John Lawton said: "I'd like to invite local companies who wish to support the testimonial tear to sponsor a hole and to join in the competition as players, if they'd like. It's a way of celebrating and acknowledging the commitment and loyalty that James has shown to Matlock over the last decade, something very rare in the sport these days."

Telephone John on 07791 649719 for more details on sponsoring the event.
