MATLOCK Cricket Club's rescheduled six-a-side competition is all set to take place this Sunday, August 31, from 10am, at Causeway Lane.
Since the cancellation of the original event due to heavy overnight rain, the tournament has grown from a nine to a ten team event.

Winster have had to drop out, but they have been replaced by Chesterfield side Spital and DCCL Division One leaders Rolls Royce.

There will be two Matlock teams, as well as sides from last year’s winners Alvaston & Boulton/ Aston, Darley Dale, Duffield, Marehay, Clay Cross and Cutthorpe bidding for prize money generously donated by Maazi restaurant owner Irfan Shabir, and individual performance prizes sponsored by the Matlock Mercury.

Admission is free and there will be a bar and barbecue providing refreshments all day.
