Ashford continued their impressive start to the season with another convincing win, this time over struggling Parkhead.
Again winning the toss, the visitors took advantage of the damp wicket as Adam Yarwood (2-10) struck early to reduce the home side to 13-2 and further dent their already fragile confidence.
The returning Joe Muir (3-20) soon got into his rhythm and looked like he had never been away as he removed Jon Gillgrass (14) and Andrew Keywood (12) in a typically controlled spell.
Dave Mason (23) hung around doggedly, before being trapped LBW by Cameron Higginbottom (1-15), but wickets fell at regular intervals as the bowlers kept a tight grip on proceedings.
Peter Marsden (2-24) mopped up the tail, leaving Parkhead staring down the barrel with a woefully under par total of 106.
The home side were given a boost as they were gifted a wicket with their second delivery, as Keywood (3-37) struck, but Oli Watson (10) and Julian Henson (15) saw off the new ball and again put Parkhead on the back foot.
Ben Drury (39 not out) and Sam Ellis (37 not out) then set about winning the match before any rain could intervene, putting on an unbeaten partnership of 73 to see Ashford comfortably home to victory with 29 overs to spare.
Ashford now sit third in Division Two, just three points behind leaders Civil Service, who they will look to continue the momentum against at home next Saturday.
