Bullets won last year’s leaguem so Colts were set for another hard battle in this clash of last year’s top two.

But with another top performance from the green army, Colts had different ideas, pushing forward from word go.

Beth Taylor opened Colts’ account after a long clearance from Chelsea Elliott with a low shot into the corner. Number two came from some great build-up play from Elliott and Taylor and low cross in from Gracie Wilson, which saw Becka Rippon hit a left foot shot past the keeper.

Bullets’ only goal of the match came from a corner just before half-time following a goalmouth scramble that was toepoked over the line.

The second half was all Colts with Mia Lucas and Emma Lawrence putting in 110 per cent in midfield and Wilson and Dione Rapkin seeing a lot more of the ball.

Rapkin put Rippon in for her second while number four came from an unstoppable close range shot from Wilson.

Bullets had a few half-hearted attempts on goal but in-form keeper Danielle Spencer kept them at bay, taking anything that was thrown at her with ease.

Colts’ fifth came from Rippon completing her hat-trick. This time Buxton’s magazine was empty and they had no Bullets left to fire at this unstoppable Colts side taking them into joint second place in the league.

This week’s girl of the game went to Dione Rapkin for an amazing performance being first to everything that was put in front of her.
