Goals galore in opening matches

The Alfreton Insurance Services Sunday League got under way at the weekend, with a number of teams in the three divisions showing that they already in free scoring form.

In Division One, AFC South Normanton beat Coronation Club 6-2, while Duffield Dynamos launched their campaign with a 6-1 victory against Hayloft, and Ripley White Lion beat Jacksdale MW 4-0.

Moving into Division Two, Alfreton Miners Arms earned a 3-2 win at Blackwell MW, Boundary Athletic thumped Codnor Athleic 8-2, Littleover HM FC comfortably beat Out Of Town 7-1 and RCH Swanwick Villa lost 7-4 to HMC FC. Finally, in Division Three, Alliance Healthcare beat The Stute FC 6-1, Alfreton Victoria hammered hosts Gladiators 10-1, Heanor Colliers won 4-1 at home to Jacksdale MW Athletic and Railway (Pinxton) lost 5-2 to visitors Marlpool United.
